The Demand Planning Team within the supply chain organization is looking for a Junior Data Scientist. In this role, you will assist in developing and optimizing demand forecasting models using statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data analytics. You will work closely with supply chain, sales, and marketing teams to analyze historical data, forecast demand, and develop models that predict future demand. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and is ready to take on challenging tasks to help improve forecasting accuracy and overall demand planning processes.
Job Requirements- Proficiency in Statistical Techniques: Knowledge of forecasting methods (e.g., moving averages, exponential smoothing, ARIMA, etc.) and statistical modeling.
- Hardworking & Proactive: Demonstrates a strong work ethic and takes initiative. Willing to put in the time and effort to deliver high-quality results.
- Knowledge of various machine learning algorithms, and their underlying structure, architecture, and implementation.
- Programming skills in Python or R.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex analytical concepts and findings in an easy-to-understand manner, making them accessible to non-technical stakeholders
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of demand forecasting process
- Continuous Learning: Motivated to stay updated on the latest trends in data science, demand planning, and supply chain
- 0-2 years work experience, including internships
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science
- Master’s degree in data science, statistics or operations research.
