Job Summary:   

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills to develop AI-powered solutions that drive innovation across Semtech. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI implementation, design and develop AI applications, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, production-grade AI systems and machine learning pipelines
  • Support the technical integration of AI capabilities into existing products and services
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and AI use cases
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define AI product roadmaps and feature prioritization
  • Establish best practices for AI development, testing, and deployment
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies and methodologies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Post Graduate Courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience developing AI/ML applications
  • Proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and UI/UX principles
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Understanding of data processing, feature engineering, and model deployment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience implementing AI solutions in enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with natural language processing or computer vision projects
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $80,000 - $115,000.  There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
