POSITION OVERIVEW

Fidelity National Financial (FNF) is seeking a Data Engineering Product Owner to join our Corporate IT team. As a Data Engineering Product Owner, you will lead the development and management of data engineering products, ensuring they meet business needs and drive strategic goals. You will function as a bridge between data engineering teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and actionable product features.

 

LOCATION

  • This role can sit 100% remote or at our HQ in Jacksonville, FL.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the vision and roadmap for data engineering products.
  • Align product goals with overall business objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify key challenges and opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration between data engineers, analysts, and business users.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements, and drive
  • Prioritize product features based on business needs and technical feasibility.
  • Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of data engineering products.
  • Ensure products are scalable, secure, and compliant with data governance
  • Keep stakeholders informed about product progress.
  • Gather feedback and address concerns.
  • Define metrics and KPIs to measure product success.
  • Understand the modern cloud data stack and data engineering principles.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity within data products.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, computer science, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in data engineering or analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical requirements. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, data warehousing, and data lakehouses.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data technologies such as Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Function Apps, API Management, and CosmosDB.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
