Data Analyst
6 month Fixed Term Contract

As Data Analyst you will high-quality data analysis, insight, and reporting that supports data-driven decision-making across Group 1 Automotive UK. The Data Analyst will play a key role in the development and delivery of meaningful MI and dashboards, ensuring the accuracy of data from people systems and integrations. This role will also contribute to the continuous improvement of HR Shared Services processes, supporting both operational and strategic initiatives.

What you’ll do day to day

Review and improve existing HR data reports to ensure clarity, relevance, and alignment with business needs, addressing any reporting gaps.

Develop and propose a comprehensive reporting suite that enables ongoing performance tracking and supports greater self-service capabilities for stakeholders.

Collect, consolidate, and analyse data from various sources to produce insightful dashboards, reports, and monthly scorecards for business leaders.

Monitor data integrity across HR systems (e.g., Cintra), identifying discrepancies and driving corrective actions.

Oversee data flows and system integrations, investigating and resolving errors while identifying root causes and recommending improvements.

Build and manage relationships with third-party data providers and system vendors to support seamless data integration and reporting.

Support the design and implementation of a structured process for receiving and managing MI and insight requests across the HR function.

Contribute to the development and tracking of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for reporting deliverables, ensuring timely response to business needs.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required

  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, ideally within an HR or corporate services environment.
  • Strong technical skills with tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other data visualisation/reporting platforms.
  • Experience working with HR and payroll systems such as Cintra is advantageous.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring others is beneficial but not essential.
