Our YouGov Shopper consumer panel services team manages a panel of around 4000 families in Austria. These households continuously record their purchases using our YouGov Shopper App. Using the data we collect on these daily purchases, we analyse trends in the Austrian market and report these to our clients (manufacturers, retailers, ...).
In an exciting new initiative, we are significantly expanding the panel by focusing on new collection methods. This will enable us to deliver an unprecedented level of detail to FMCG and retail clients.
For our office in Vienna, we are looking for a proactive and motivated Data Production Expert who is ready to take this next step with us. Reporting to our Team Manager, also based in Vienna, the Data Production Expert supports in matching the existing purchase database to the newly measured data and vice versa, based on algorithms with manual steps where needed.
You Will:
- Rise to the challenge to improve current processes and algorithms to make them fit for the new data collection methods.
- Aim to improve the database and coding quality to simplify the matching and classification for both sources of FMCG data.
- Enjoy the learning process by analyzing the current results of the above mentioned processes and are quick to adapt them to keep improving.
- Work closely with a dedicated and dynamic team for this new initiative, but will be part of a broader team of data management colleagues internationally.
- Feel confident to work with different stakeholders to keep the project running.
You Have:
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business, marketing, data science or related field, a first professional experience is a plus.
- An analytical mind, yet you are fond of looking for creative and innovative solutions.
- A keen eye for detail in data handling and working with large datasets.
- A Passion for big data or FMCG/Retail topics and you have a clear interest in the Austrian market.
- Comprehensive Excel skills.
- Solid foundation of statistical tools/programming languages (preferably Python or R) is desirable.
- Fluent German and English language skills.
- Good project oversight and have clear communication skills.
- A self-driven with a can-do mentality and do not rely only on the team but also yourself to overcome the challenges along the way.
