Zurich Workplace Solutions (ZWS) is an entity from Zurich International located in the heart of the DIFC’s International Financial Centre. They provide localized workplace savings solutions that offer flexibility, control and make a positive difference to long-term financial security.
ZWS are the Administrator of the DIFC Employee Workplace Savings plan (DEWS), a progressive end-of-service benefit plan introduced within the DIFC in 2020.

The internship will provide you an opportunity to work closely with the business and gain insight in the following areas: 

• Analyze customer data.
• Derive insights and recommending actions.
• Support data-driven decision-making to drive business success.

• Get trained on how to be professional and accountable for all your responsibilities and actions.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement of Data Science processes and systems to manager and colleagues.
   

The Responsibilities

As a Data Science Intern, you will be responsible for the following:

• Deliver tasks that follow set procedures to ensure adherence to the company´s risk and compliance policies.

• Organize information according to procedures by using data software knowledge, data entry, checking/matching data, etc. to ensure accurate records are maintained.

• Provide feedback relating to the quality and efficiency of processes and systems in own area of work to improve their performance.

• Manage administration tasks as required in a friendly, courteous and professional manner to support the functioning of the department/team.
 

The Candidate

Mandatory Requirements:

• Valid residence visa within the United Arab Emirates with more than 6 months of validity.
• Open to fresh graduates or anyone who graduated within the past 12 months

Preferred candidate must possess the following:

• Solid foundational knowledge in statistics and mathematics
• Proficiency in statistical tools and programming languages (such as Python, R, or SQL)
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy)
• Experience with data visualization tools (like Tableau or Power BI)
