Red Alpha has been bringing cutting edge technological expertise and delivery to a mission-critical customer environment in Northern Virginia, and are seeking an Expert Developer and Consultant to join our team, and push the mission forward.In addition to delivering premier hands-on-keyboard support for continued innovation, the Cloud Developer will serve as a technical middleman between Data Science and Tradecraft components, leaning on vast knowledge of cloud and data solutions and refined consulting skills.
Technical Responsibilities include:
- UI (React/Angular) development
- Integration with AWS managed services such as API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Elastic Container Service, etc.
- Coding in languages such as Python, Javascript/Typescript, and Bash
- Data Science and Engineering tasks
What you bring to the table:
All of our cloud engineers need the following skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
For this particular role, you will also need:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph level of clearance
- 11+ years of relevant experience
- Development and integration of AWS Managed services (AWS Lambda, Api Gateway, Elastic Container Service, Aurora, Athena)
- Python, Java, Typescript/Javascript
- React and/or Angular
- Application of Natural Language Processing techniques - Scikit-learn, SpaCy, NLTK.
These are important skills to have, but not necessarily mandatory:
- Deep Learning and Convolutional Neural Networks (Keras Tensorflow)
- Basic Machine Learning concepts - K-Nearest Neighbor, Random Forest, Linear regression and classification

Please visit our benefits tab for additional information. Salary Range:- Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
- Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $200,000 - $250,000.
