You will work on impactful projects ranging from predicting customer lifetime values, optimizing customer journeys, leveraging machine-learning algorithms to automate and predict claim outcomes, and finding innovative ways to impact our customers.
As a full-stack data scientist, you will be part of a dynamic small team with exposure to different business partners and direct influence on future products and innovative solutions. You will participate in the end-to-end SDLC process from conceptualization to production support to model monitoring. You will develop and deploy machine learning and statistical models for practical applications impacting millions of customers. The team has already developed algorithms used in production systems, and you will be part of the team expanding the scope of these algorithms.

What you'll do
Collaborate with Business partners to identify and refine business and customer problems
Transformation of sophisticated data sets into meaningful conclusions & recommendations
Develop innovative solutions for pattern recognition using machine learning and statistical approaches
Design and deploy the models to real-time APIs or automated batch inferences
Maintenance of an expanding set of data mining tools, frameworks & approaches
Communicate actionable recommendations based on insights/model results
Driving co-ordination/delivery accountability of project and BAU delivery based on timelines & direction
Driving conformance/Alignment to IT/Enterprise Architecture standards (where applicable)
What you'll bring
An educational background in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, physics, or related fields. A minimum of an MSc is required, and a Ph.D. is preferred.
5+ years of experience with model development and working with large datasets. This can include experience from any industry or academia (post-doc expertise).
2+ years of experience productionalizing models, model monitoring and MLOps
5+ years of programming experience in Python or R with a good grasp of software engineering standard methodologies such as code-reusability, modularity, use of reports, etc.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Teradata, Hadoop and AWS is an asset.
Conceptual understanding in a data-driven software engineering environment and how to leverage data to make business decisions.
A track record in building and maintaining high-quality, robust and maintainable code.
Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, ETL strategies and standard methodologies.
An appetite for problem-solving with a creative and resourceful approach to finding the right solution for the job.
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Amazing communication skills and ability to translate and communicate complex algorithms to non-technical individuals. Someone who understands that it is not enough to have a phenomenal algorithm but is relevant to building an agreement for the solution from different partners.
