To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
Accountabilities
- Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
- Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
- Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
- Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.

As a Senior Data Analyst AVP, you will be a key contributor to the Planning and Stress Testing framework — a critical, multi-year campaign impacting multiple entities within Barclays. This role offers significant exposure to cross-functional teams including Finance and Quants, and provides visibility to senior leadership. You will develop a well-rounded skill set in areas such as financial modeling, regulatory compliance, scenario assessment, and enterprise-wide collaboration.
To be successful as a Senior Data Analyst AVP, you should have experience with:
Financial data analysis and reconciliation
Audit, risk, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements
Data quality assurance processes and controls
Developing management reports and dashboards
Working in global and cross-functional environments
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Financial certifications like CFA, CPA, FRM
Ability to map and trace data from various source systems to solve a given business problem
Experience with tools and technologies (SQL, Excel, JIRA, Git, MS Office, Project Plan, Visio and Agile Central)
