We’re tech-agnostic, but some of our most commonly used tools include Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Databricks. In simple terms, we tech the heck out of data. NOW TO THE ROLE ITSELF

As Recordly’s Databricks Lead, you will be at the forefront of our data engineering efforts, guiding the development and optimization of Databricks-based data solutions for our customers. You’ll play a key role in managing and optimizing large-scale data pipelines, delivering robust solutions, and leading the strategic direction of our Databricks expertise both internally and at our customers. In this role, you'll combine your hands-on Databricks expertise with your strong commitment to knowledge sharing. You will lead the ongoing partnership between Recordly and Databricks, ensuring that we are at the cutting edge of the technology and continuously building best practices and internal knowledge around Databricks solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead partnership between Recordly and Databricks, continuously building and sharing knowledge internally and with our customers by possessing a deep understanding of how Databricks fundamentally works and how it can be leveraged to drive business value for our customers

• Plan and lead across several customer engagements the development, optimisation, and management of data pipelines and ETL processes in Databricks

• Understand the end-to-end process of building ML/AI solutions within the Databricks ecosystem

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience with Databricks

• Understanding the role that Unity Catalog and Serverless have in Databricks and data solutions

• Proficiency in one of the major cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP

• Programming skills in Python or Scala. You also have previous experience with Git/GitHub

• Some experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-a-code languages

• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and SQL

In addition to the above mentioned qualifications, working in a low-hierarchy setting suits you and you thrive when given responsibility and autonomy in your work. You naturally take a proactive approach, and you can transform challenges into opportunities and effectively provide solutions. You also enjoy working closely with your colleagues, and you have good interpersonal skills and can communicate well in Finnish and English, as some of our projects are in Finnish. Please note that currently we only offer permanent remote work opportunities in Finland and we cannot offer relocation support.
