Software Engineer, AI Automation

We're seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Software Engineer, AI automation with a strong foundation in software development. The ideal candidate will join our dynamic engineering team to develop, implement, and maintain AI-powered applications while learning from experienced mentors.
 

As an Software Engineer, you will work closely with our engineering and data science teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions, including AI automations. You will gain hands-on experience building scalable systems and contributing to the development of intelligent applications. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and currently live in Boulder, Colorado or already planning to relocate. We will not pay for any relocation costs.

What you will do 

• Develop and maintain scalable software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and the business to implement scalable solutions for our clients.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
• Implement AI-based solutions and automations within the company
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
• Debug and resolve software defects
• Assist in the development and optimization of the company software
• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes

What we are looking for

• 1-3 years of professional software development experience
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems and shell scripting
• Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and frameworks
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models into production systems
• Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Personal projects or open-source contributions showcasing your technical skills

Education/Training

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML projects (academic, personal, or professional).

Work Environment/Benefits

• Position is onsite at the Corporate office with the potential of one day/week remote following three months of employment.
• Standard work week - 40 hours; however, employees may be required to work additional time necessary to meet deadlines and complete projects.
