Senior Data Governance Analyst

Data Analysis (30%):
- Review and analyze complex data sets for data quality issues and data management challenges.
- Identify data quality improvement and develop a plan for remediation.
- Design and build data quality control structures to enable proactive data quality management that aligns with Allied’s data governance policies and regulatory compliance requirements.
Data Governance Platform (20%):
- Oversee management of business glossaries, data definitions, data rules, and data standards.
- Manage the data quality metrics integration into the data governance platform.
Data Governance Program/Framework (20%):
- Consult on data governance program initiatives in assessing the organizational impact and project planning.
- Work along with the manager of data governance to help implement data governance framework that includes data quality management, data policies, and compliance.
- Assist in planning and managing the data governance and the AI council meetings.
Collaboration (20%):
- Collaborate with the Data Stewards/Business Stakeholders to ensure data governance policy adherence and issue resolution.
- Assist the data architects/data modelers with meta data management and alignment of data model to data governance standards.
Data Literacy (10%):
- Foster a culture of data governance awareness and accountability through data literacy initiatives.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
- 5+ years of experience in data management, business analysis, analytics, or equivalent experience demonstrated through education, training, or work.
- Proficiency in advanced SQL to query, review, and validate data is required.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting are required.
- Experience in a data governance platform (e.g. Informatica or Alation) is required.
- Experience in a data analysis platform (e.g. Tableau or Power BI) is required.
- Passionate about data, ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solving, and thinking out of the box skills are required.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks, data lineage, and regulatory requirements is strongly preferred.
- Experience in Python or R is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
