Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and innovative AI/ML Engineer to join our Engineering team at Deeplight AI. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement AI/ML solutions that solve complex business problems for our enterprise clients across the Middle East. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate client requirements into scalable, production-ready AI systems while ensuring alignment with regional regulations and cultural considerations. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects spanning multiple industries and AI domains while contributing to the region's ambitious digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end AI/ML solutions from concept to production deployment for enterprise clients in the Middle East
• Build and optimize machine learning models using modern frameworks and techniques, with particular focus on NLP, computer vision, and predictive analytics
• Collaborate with data engineers to develop robust data pipelines and preprocessing workflows that handle multilingual data (including Arabic)
• Work with DevOps teams to deploy models to production environments and integrate with client systems across various cloud platforms
• Conduct experiments, analyze results, and iterate on solutions to meet or exceed client requirements and performance expectations
• Stay current with latest AI research and technologies, evaluating their potential application to client challenges
• Provide technical guidance to clients and team members on AI/ML best practices, regional compliance requirements, and responsible AI principles

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related technical field (Master's degree preferred)
• 3+ years of professional experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in software engineering best practices
• Demonstrated expertise with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and foundation models, including fine-tuning and deployment
• Proven track record building and deploying at least one of: NLP, computer vision, recommendation systems, or time-series forecasting solutions
• Familiarity with cloud-based ML infrastructure on at least one major platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of data security, privacy considerations, and model monitoring in production

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or related field
• Familiarity with Middle Eastern data regulations (e.g., PDPL in Saudi Arabia, UAE data laws)
• Experience with domain-specific AI applications in key regional sectors (energy, finance, government, healthcare)
• Understanding of digital transformation initiatives in the region (Saudi Vision 2030, UAE AI Strategy)
• Previous consulting or professional services experience

Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Python (required), Java or C++ (advantageous)
• ML Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, scikit-learn
• MLOps Tools: MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar platforms
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or Google Vertex AI
• Data Processing: Experience with data preparation libraries (Pandas, NumPy, dplyr) and big data tools (Spark)
• LLM Experience: Working with foundation models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and alignment
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Experiment Tracking: Experience with tools for model versioning and experiment management
• Version Control: Git and collaborative development workflows
