AI/ML Lead

Job Summary

As the AI/ML Lead at Emerson, you will be responsible for spearheading our AI and machine learning strategy, developing a team of authorities, and delivering impactful solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business leaders, to translate sophisticated problems into actionable AI/ML solutions.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop and complete the AI/ML strategy aligned with business goals and technological advancements. Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the AI/ML team.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts. Champion a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning models and solutions. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, engineers, and other customers to define requirements, set priorities, and deliver AI/ML solutions that align with business needs.
• Ensure the availability and quality of data required for AI/ML projects. Collaborate with data engineering teams to lead data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Present findings, progress, and recommendations to executive leadership and other collaborators. Clearly communicate sophisticated technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Participate in regular Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective

For This Role, You Will Need:

• In computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field or a or higher is preferred.
• Total 15+ years of industry and development experience
• More than 3 years of experience in AI/ML roles, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing successful projects. Experience in a leadership or managerial role is highly desirable.
• More than 5 years of experience in managing a team
• Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Go, TensorFlow, PyTorch), programming languages C#, .Net, NodeJS and data processing tools.
• Strong background in developing and deploying machine learning models, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and insights to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

•  Prior experience in engineering domain
• Overall 15 to 17 years experience
• Prior experience in leading teams in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) is 
• Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
