We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who is driven, takes full ownership of their work, and is passionate about advancing AI-driven applications. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the development, optimization, and scaling of our backend infrastructure, with a special focus on integrating large language models (LLMs) into our platform.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services using Flask and PostgreSQL.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Utilize AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) for cloud deployment, scaling, and monitoring to ensure seamless backend operations.
• API Development: Build and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs to integrate with front-end applications and support AI-driven workflows.
• Data Processing & Analysis: Leverage pandas for data manipulation and analysis to derive actionable insights for AI models.
• LLM Integration: Work on integrating large language models (LLMs) into our platform, ensuring optimal performance and API interactions.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and security of our backend systems.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Diagnose and resolve backend issues promptly, ensuring smooth and reliable system operation.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry standards and best practices.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with the founders, benefiting from direct mentorship while collaborating with a highly skilled team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar technical role.
• Strong expertise in Flask and PostgreSQL for backend development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) for cloud-based deployments and scaling.
• Experience working with LLMs and AI-driven applications. Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Proficiency in using pandas for processing and analyzing structured data.
• Experience in building and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• A deep understanding of scalability, security, and performance optimization for backend systems.
• Bonus: Familiarity with React and TypeScript is an advantage, though not required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote-first environment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
