The role:

As we continue to scale, we're building the foundation of a modern data function — one that enables faster, smarter decision-making across every area of the business.

We're moving from fragmented reporting towards a data-driven culture, with scalable data infrastructure, automation, and AI-readiness at the heart of our strategy. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing function at the beginning of its transformation, where you’ll have real ownership and impact.

We’re looking for a commercially minded Data Analyst to join our data transformation journey. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality reporting and actionable insight to teams across the business, with a focus on trading, digital marketing, customer and product performance.

The main elements of the role are:

This is a role for someone who loves solving problems with data, can communicate the “so what” behind the numbers, and is confident in building clean, trusted dashboards and data models. You’ll take ownership of key reporting and analysis requests, while also helping us establish the foundations for scalable, well-modelled data.

We’re especially keen to find someone with a good grasp of how analytics data should be structured and transformed. While this isn’t a data engineering role, it’s ideal for someone familiar with analytics engineering principles and excited to help us build better data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis, Insight & Business Partnership
    • Deliver impactful analysis across trading, marketing and customer data, helping stakeholders make informed, confident decisions. You will act as a data business partner, helping answer critical business questions and proactively spotting opportunities and risks.
    • Build a strong understanding of business performance drivers and translate data into insight, and insight into action.
  • Reporting & Visualisation
    • Design and build clear, engaging dashboards in Looker Studio, helping teams easily access trusted, relevant data.
    • Ensure reporting is consistent, well-structured, and aligned with business KPIs.
  • Data Modelling & Analytics Enablement
    • Build and maintain clean, scalable data models in Google BigQuery to support reporting and analysis, ensuring KPI definitions and business logic are standardised and well-documented.
    • Help structure our data using a layered modelling approach.
    • Apply principles of analytics engineering, including modular SQL development, code version control, and transformation best practices.

Requirements

We want to hear from you if you can demonstrate…

  • Strong SQL skills: comfortable writing clean, efficient queries and transforming large datasets.
  • Experience building insightful, interactive dashboards using Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, with a focus on commercial impact and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Google BigQuery (or similar).
  • Understanding of layered data modelling concepts
  • Exposure to analytics engineering practices (e.g. modular transformations, source-to-target logic, and Git-based version control)
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing your own backlog of reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, with a proactive attitude towards spotting and resolving data quality issues.
  • Experience working with complex, multi-market or multi-currency datasets (e.g. global Shopify stores).
  • A commercial mindset — able to prioritise work based on business impact and communicate trade-offs effectively.

It's an added bonus (but not essential) if you have....

  • Experience with digital and marketing analytics, customer analytics and trading performance analysis in a direct-to-consumer retail business.
  • Understanding of best practices for source-to-target mapping, testing, and documentation in analytics workflows. Experience using dbt Cloud or similar transformation tooling in a production or team environment.
  • Understanding of dimensional modelling concepts
  • Experience working in a fast-paced digital or retail environment.
