Enterprise Risk Management Technology within Functions Technology supports global functions partners such as Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM), Retail Credit Risk, Operational Risk and Model Risk

The Director, ERT Data Lead (Enterprise Risk Technology Data Lead) is a senior management role responsible for managing the overall delivery of the Data Use Cases across Enterprise Risk Management, Retail Credit Risk, Operational Risk and ICRM. This role requires strong global banking experience along with strong understanding of banking data structures and products. This role will also be responsible for managing multiple data teams. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, resourceful and responsive individual with strong communication skills given the enterprise-wide scope and extensive interaction with many stakeholders and working group forums. 

The successful candidate needs to have an intimate knowledge of how technology interacts with various businesses across the technology development life cycle. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have multiple competences – design thinking, domain expertise, delivery track record, astute people manager and great collaborator across levels.  A person who is successful in this role will be able to influence technology and business decisions therefore adding business value towards a stronger risk and controls environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver within work streams focusing on a broad range of Data Use Case initiatives including data requirements, data quality rules, data lineage and data governance
  • Act as strategic partner between data producers and consumers to ensure data requirements are fulfilled in a complete, accurate, and timely manner
  • Liaise between the Enterprise Data Office and other key partners in Risk Management and Technology to progress the Data Transformation agenda
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including the day-to-day execution activities and meetings
  • Examines and evaluates project status against the Data Use Plans, including identifying potential risks and issues that need to be escalated and ensure that program risks and issues are understood, documented and mitigated
  • Support resolution of project issues by offering solutions to resolve complex problems, and by interpreting and advising on policies, guidelines or processes. Assist the team to prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results
  • Liaises with multiple Data Teams/Key Stakeholders and serve as subject matter for planning and analysis of project deliverables and processes.
  • Manage capacity planning by advocating for funding needed to meet future needs and proactively identify risk or issues which may impact delivery
  • Determines appropriateness, and guides revisions/refinement of presentation content and materials for Governance forums
  • Ensure adherence to O&T and Functions Technology standards on program delivery, compliance, process management, risk, and controls
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in large Financial Services firm with experience across data, risk & control, business or technology
  • Subject Matter Expertise in risk and controls disciplines within technology processes
  • Possesses an observable and impactful delivery track record on business or risk function transformation
  • Solid understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and bring together the right team to solution them
  • Strong organizational leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate through a large organization to streamline and summarize multiple information points and create repeatable processes to build consistency
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to synthesize key messages and build relationships with senior risk and technology stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
  • Ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
