Robotics Software Engineer - Performance and Reliability

Role

Looking for a versatile, talented Robotics Software engineer who is eager to get into the nuts and bolts of software, hardware and process. You will work to improve the reliability, quality and performance of industrial robotics systems using an array of methods such as software integration tests, hardware-in-the-loop tests, Simulation, process  improvements, failure mode analysis, Statistical analysis etc. Part of your work will also involve experiment design, benchmarking against industrial standards, defining metrics for measurement and tracking. You will have to collaborate extensively across teams to help Intrinsic deliver high-quality, robust software that powers the next generation of industrial robots.

How your work moves the mission forward

• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure the reliability of Intrinsic's robotics software.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of robot applications.
• Conduct failure analysis and make recommendations for improvements
• Define metrics to track and benchmarks against industry standards
• Document and communicate your work for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate alongside industry-leading partners to deploy automation products  

Skills you will need to be successful

• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Robotics or a related field.
• Fluency with C++ and/or Python.
• Proven ability to work with a team, contributing to delivering solutions.
• Domain knowledge about robotics and/or industrial automation.
• Understanding of measurement techniques, statistics and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to sleuth, troubleshoot and persevere till the root cause of issues are found with subsequent closed loop corrective action

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

• Hands-on experience with manipulators, AMRs and industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with ROS 2 and hands-on experience integrating the same into physical applications.
• Experience working with robotic simulators and creating digital twins.
• Understanding of Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, microservice architectures, and/or real-time systems
• Programming skills in Go, Angular, TypeScript, and/or Rust.
• Intellectual fearlessness to tread into new subject areas and learn what is needed to accomplish the project

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $158,000 - $167,875 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
