SUMMARY: 

Net Health Systems, Inc. (“Net Health”) wishes to hire a person to work as a Data Engineer in a fully-remote capacity.

DUTIES:

  • Build systems and infrastructures that collect and process data according to company needs and goals;
  • Builds, evolves, and scales out infrastructure to ingest, process, and extract meaning out of data;
  • Leverages existing data infrastructure to fulfill all data-related requests, perform necessary data housekeeping, data cleansing, normalization, hashing, and implementation of required data model changes;
  • Analyzes data to spot anomalies, trends, and correlate similar data stats;
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to drive actionable insights and recommendations;
  • Troubleshoots problems, identifies possible solutions, and resolves accordingly;
  • Make sure data pipelines and infrastructures are built to meet goals around resilience, performance, and scalability;
  • Architect/change data pipelines and infrastructure as new technologies and processes provide significant value;
  • Monitor and support more junior Data Engineers as needed;
  • Participate in agile scrum process to refine, prioritize, and build solutions to meet customer needs;
  • Use SQL to query and manipulate data;
  • Work with structured (CSV, JSON, PARQUERT, etc.) data as needed;
  • Utilize Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages as needed;
  • Incorporate experience with Spark, Hadoop, or other Big Data analytics platforms; and
  • Incorporate experience with major public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).

LOCATION:  40 24th Street, 3rd Floor, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15222.  This is a Fully-Remote Position. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other related quantitative field or bachelor’s degree in Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other related quantitative field with 60 months of progressive and relevant experience.
