Job Summary (Purpose):

As the Senior Developer for Business Intelligence, this role will develop, support, and administer BI solutions using SAP BW HANA, QlikView, and Qlik Sense, to support all areas of the business. These solutions will include data acquisition and ETL, data modeling, dashboard frontend design, and programming.  You will serve as a senior leader on the team helping to identify innovative solutions based on requirements and supporting the BI development cycle, deployment processes and adhering to change management practices.   You will have a role in level 3 production support for existing applications, data flows, reports, dashboards, etc. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop dashboards and other solutions involving data.
• Develop designs and data architecture plans for complex data models.
• Support Qlik applications developed from Advanced Analytics data models.
• Understand and analyze business requirements.
• Communicate and coordinate development with other technical teams.
• Maintain, support, and troubleshoot all BI production systems as required.
• Optimize performance and efficiency of all BI solutions.
• Communicate project status and support project managers. 
• Understand and maintain expertise in the data related to AmeriGas business.
• Troubleshoot and correct complex technical and functional issues/bugs in SAP BW and QlikView. 
• Provide established level of service and support of SAP BW & Qlik to ensure minimal system downtime. 
• Provide input to the development of resource planning.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge and experience in managing large amounts of data. 
• Expert level knowledge and skills in Data Modeling at an enterprise level. 
• Programming skills in Qlik Software scripting.
• Programming skills in SAP BW, HANA, ABAP. 
• Skilled in Data Visualization and Dashboard development. 
• Development of info-cubes, custom extractors, process chains and info-providers 
• Ability to transform business function requirements into technical designs. 
• Ability to code, unit test, and debug Qlik Software solutions.
• Ability to code, unit test, and debug SAP BW solutions.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex business reporting requirements
• Knowledge of a variety of data sources (SQL, SAP, XML, Oracle, flat files, spreadsheets, non-SQL data, cloud sources like Azure, etc.)
• Ability to work and manage a variety of tasks and work within an environment with competing priorities. 
• Knowledge and experience in web development concepts is a plus.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, database administration or related discipline. 
• Additional coursework demonstrating commitment to ongoing skills development desirable. 
• 8 years experience in data-related systems development.
• Ideal candidate will have experience in both SAP BW HANA and QlikView experience, but strong experience in one is a requirement.
• 7 years experience with Qlik Software (QlikView or Qlik Sense).
• 3 years hands-on experience developing within SAP BW, ABAP, HANA. 
• Experience on a multiple full lifecycle development projects.
