POSITION

This role will partner with investment teams and investment leadership to quantify, evaluate, and communicate investment risks for fixed income and multi-asset portfolios. The focus will be on delivering insights and analytics that support and supplement the research processes of the investment teams.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with investment teams to identify areas where additional risk insights are needed and research data sources and techniques to provide these insights.
• Design and build tools to quantify and evaluate investment risks, delivering analytics and insights to investment team members by developing custom software solutions and business intelligence tools.
• Respond to ad hoc research questions posed by investment leadership, investment teams, and distribution regarding investment risks.
• Update and maintain tools and processes, ensuring that risk insights delivered are accurate, timely, and high quality.
• Communicate complex risk concepts, analytics, and results to senior business partners in a clear and accessible manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS degree or higher in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, financial engineering, econometrics, actuarial science, physics, engineering, or finance.
• Programming experience with Python.
• Strong statistical or mathematical background.
• Finance/investments training or experience.
• Ability to communicate complex risk concepts, analytics, and results to senior business partners in an understandable manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience delivering risk analytics solutions in a business environment.
• Experience delivering analytics to non-technical consumers via business intelligence tools.
• Experience solving business problems using statistical and/or machine learning techniques or visualizations.
• Experience using Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools.
• Deep knowledge of database/data warehousing concepts and ability to build flexible analytics solutions that can span multiple data sources and technologies.
• Data science or machine learning coursework or certifications.
• Experience producing analytics solutions in an AWS environment.

Base Pay Range:   $85,000 - $100,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
