 Role SummaryMetaPhase is a people-first, mission-driven consulting firm that helps federal agencies make smarter, data-informed decisions. As a Data & Analytics Intern, you’ll join a collaborative and innovative team solving real government challenges through data wrangling, visualization, and storytelling. This internship is a great opportunity for aspiring analysts, engineers, or data scientists to apply classroom knowledge in a high-impact, real-world setting.  Essential Responsibilities  

• Assist with data collection, cleaning, and preparation from a variety of sources including databases, APIs, and public datasets

• Support development of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Python
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis
• Help document data dictionaries, lineage, and analytical processes
• Participate in stakeholder and team meetings to gather requirements and share insights
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to develop, test, and refine analytics solutions
• Explore patterns, trends, and relationships in data that support program evaluation and mission outcomes

Basic Qualifications (Required) 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated curiosity and desire to solve meaningful problems with data
• U.S. Citizenship is required (NO EXCEPTIONS)

Bonus Points  

• Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with data wrangling libraries like pandas, dplyr, or data.table
• Exposure to database concepts and data modeling principles
• Participation in data projects, competitions, or open-source contributions
• Interest in federal consulting, public policy, or civic tech
