Automation & AI Developer

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

Role purpose

We are seeking an AI and RPA Engineer to design, develop, and implement AI-driven automation solutions. You will combine artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic process automation (RPA) to automate complex business processes, enabling more efficient and intelligent workflows. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both AI technologies (like Phyton, machine learning, NLP) and RPA tools (such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI models (machine learning, deep learning, NLP, etc.) that support process automation
• Design, build, and deploy robotic process automation (RPA) bots to streamline business processes and reduce manual tasks
• Integrate AI and RPA solutions to enhance the capability of automated workflows with intelligent decision-making and natural language understanding
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand business processes and identify automation opportunities
• Conduct end-to-end testing of RPA bots and AI models to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
• Monitor and optimize the performance of deployed RPA solutions and AI models, ensuring they remain effective over time
• Maintain detailed documentation of RPA workflows, AI models, and related automation processes
• Stay updated with the latest trends in AI and RPA technologies, applying industry best practices
• Support the deployment and management of AI-driven RPA systems across various environments (cloud, on-premises)
• Be a mentor for the young talents

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in software development, IT, or process automation
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• IT / Business Degree or Equivalent work experience
• ITIL certification is an advantage
• Good command of English (verbal and written)
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with AI libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, NLTK, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and the ability to integrate AI with RPA solutions
• Knowledge of Robotics Process Automation, experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine learning is preferred
• Solid understanding of the business processes related to the business application(s) concerned
• Experience with architecting and developing workflow-based solutions or functionality
• At least solid software development background, e.g C#, Java, VBA, PowerShell ...
• Experience with automation solution softwares (e.g. UiPath, BluePrism, Google ML, Azure Bot Service, bigml) 
• Experience with Databases (SQL or NoSQL)
• Solid understanding of APIs

• Good skills to prioritize tasks: keeping deadlines and manage expectations
