We're focused on improving developer efficiency, reducing complexity, and enabling product teams to deliver features faster and more reliably—through scalable, self-service platforms that are intuitive, robust, and secure.
We’re currently rolling out a new real-time event streaming platform along with maintaining critical batch and scheduled job infrastructure. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience in these technologies and a passion for building internal platforms that abstract complexity, enable self-service, and deliver lasting impact.
This is a senior-level position. You’ll be expected to ramp quickly, work independently, mentor others, and help shape the technical direction of the team through thought leadership and hands-on engineering.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design, build, and maintain internal services and automation used by engineering teams across the company with a strong focus on security, reliability, and scalability
- Lead development and optimization of our real-time event streaming system built on top of RedPanda
- Maintain and evolve our data infrastructure, primarily built on Airflow and Airbyte
- Create reusable patterns, tooling, and frameworks that support self-service use cases for internal teams
- Advocate for and implement modern software development practices: CI/CD, automated testing, observability, infrastructure as code
- Champion agile best practices and project execution, helping the team stay focused, aligned, and iterative
- Provide architectural guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers across the team
The skills and experience you bring to the job:
- Deep experience operating event streaming platforms like Redpanda or Kafka in high-throughput, production environments
- Knowledge of schema evolution, data contracts, and API design for internal developer-facing systems
- Proficiency with Airflow and Airbyte, and a strong understanding of orchestration and data integration patterns
- Strong development skills in Python and/or Go
- Expertise in Kubernetes and Helm, with a proven track record of managing containerized workloads in production
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and best practices around scalable infrastructure
- Comfort working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with engineers, PMs, and internal stakeholders
- Clear written and verbal communication, with a user-focused mindset

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$180,000. The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation that isn’t included in the posted range.
