SAP Data and Reporting Specialist ​

This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations and delivering minor developments within SAP BW (BW4Hana) for the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland). Specialist is expected to provide timely support to business users, including issue troubleshooting, system monitoring, and executing minor enhancements within their area of expertise. The role requires close collaboration with Solution Architects, Product Owners, other functional SAP teams, and technical teams (including Integration, Basis, ABAP developers), as well as coordination with the IT Service Manager responsible for the relevant domain. ​

SAP BW/BI Specialists will cover both finance business warehouse and business intelligences parts. SAP Analytics Cloud exposure is a great plus.

As a SAP Data and Reporting Specialist you will:

• ​Provide functional support to end-users encountering issues or ‘how to’ questions with daily transactions and routine processes (e.g., period-end closing, data maintenance, clean up activities).​

• Monitor critical job chain runs and ensure timely, accurate communication of findings or incidents to relevant business and technical stakeholders. Drive prompt issue resolution.​

• Take ownership of operational responsibilities within your domain, including ticket resolution and troubleshooting. Be prepared to handle minor, major, and critical incidents as well as service requests in line with agreed OLAs. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings as needed.​

• Collaborate closely with Business Process Owners and Product Owners to gather and understand requirements for new developments and continuous process improvements.​

• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for technical teams. Perform design and required configurations, execute Unit Testing (UT) and System Integration Testing (SIT).​

• Support larger-scale projects when necessary—contributing to documentation, configuration, testing, training, and end-user support, including participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).​

• Operate in a hybrid methodology environment, adhering to ITIL best practices and utilizing a ticketing system, SAFe framework, JIRA for development tracking, and SAP change
  management procedures.

Who we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).​

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BW specialist (SAP Analytics Could is a plus) ​

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).​

• We look for business oriented, focused on planning and reporting person willing to support finance business of Telia Company. ​

• Experience working in SAP operations, including ticket resolution, troubleshooting, and end-user support.​

• Exposure to minor SAP development or enhancement activities (e.g., configuration, testing, documentation). Familiarity in working with technical teams (ABAPers, Integration, Basis specialists). ​

• Understanding of SAP transport management and change management processes.​

• Familiarity with ITIL-based support models and service management processes. Experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing systems is plus. ​

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive and service-oriented mindset.​

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.​

• Flexibility to support business-critical incidents outside regular working hours when necessary.

Monthly salary range for this position: 4300 – 6400 Eur gross plus annual bonuses which are depending on your competencies and your and Telia results.
