At GSD NPO Automation Team, we drive technology leadership by developing and bringing innovative concepts to industry and standards organizations, shaping ecosystems to ensure an inventor-friendly environment. Working with the NPO Automation Team, you'll play a crucial role in our Digitalization/Automation team, improving efficiency by developing tools and digital platforms to support customer deliveries. Applying your expertise to the enhancement of next-generation ways of working, you'll contribute to our team by designing and developing scalable web applications and optimizing application performance, all while staying ahead of the curve with emerging technologies.

 

Position: Internship
Duration: 12 months
Start date (tentative): June, 2025
Location: Hybrid in Amadora, Portugal
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school

  • Design and maintain data storage and processing architecture.
  • Choose and implement appropriate database systems and storage solutions.
  • Build and manage robust ETL (extract, transform, load) pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity during the ETL process.
  • Design data models and schemas to meet business requirements.
  • Implement and maintain data structures like tables and indexes.
  • Cloud Platforms - Public/Private/Hybrid.
  • Data Quality & Governance - Policy , Security , Meta data management.
  • Programming Language - SQL / MongoDB/ NoSQL/Postgres.
  • Data Storage and Databases (Data warehouse, Data lakes, Data pipelines).
  • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Tools.

 

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Programming Language - Python or Java.
  • Statistical Analysis.
  • Data Visualization.
  • Collaboration and Team-work.
