Overview - What Will the Internships Involve? Pragmatic Semiconductor is delighted to offer several internship opportunities for the summer of 2025. We welcome applications from talented, positive individuals to join us. These paid internships will last approximately 12 weeks (starting in late June, early July) and provide excellent practical experience within a fast-paced, growing company. This internship will be based in Cambridge within our Technology Team. We have a strong track record of hosting successful interns, with a high percentage subsequently joining us permanently after completing their studies. We are committed to offering internships that are fun, challenging, and rewarding, providing invaluable insight into how a semiconductor company operates. Interns will benefit from the support of a dedicated line manager and will work both within their teams and cross-functionally to support the company’s objectives.

What Are We Looking For? The ideal candidate shall be working on integrating LLM Machine learning models into Compilers that are being developed for our Next generation Flexible Microcontrollers and processors portfolio and contribute to the software team. This project is first of it's kind in the compiler world and a challenging problem!
Key tasks
- Work on cutting-edge Machine learning and LLM models.
- Optimizing existing LLM Models for integration to Open-source compilers like GCC/LLVM.
- Develop frameworks for validating and functional testing of assembly or C codes.
- Work closely with IC design, software and processors team to gather requirements, develop the system design.
- Must be comfortable working with AI + Compilers
What will you be studying now? Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related field.
What would make you stand out from the crowd? Good understanding of AI/ML and LLM concepts. Hands-on exposure with working, optimizing and integrating Opensource LLM models is a MUST. Basic understanding of compilers like GCC/LLVM is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
