Job Description

At Zendesk Portugal, we are seeking a talented and experienced SEO Content Editor with management experience to join our growing SEO team. Your focus will be to ensure content quality, consistency, and accuracy across Tier 1 languages by editing US English SEO content, managing a team of writers, the content production process, and cross-functional collaboration. You will also be willing to roll up your sleeves by writing articles yourself when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit US English outlines and articles for grammar, punctuation, clarity, style, readability, structure, and tone, checking for plagiarism, appropriate external links, and adherence to formatting requirements before publishing

  • Manage the content production calendar and coordinate with writers, designers, and other stakeholders

  • Work closely with SEO Strategists to ensure content aligns with strategic SEO goals

  • Collaborate and maintain regular communication with the Product Marketing team to gather updates on product launches, features, and campaigns, ensuring content is aligned with the latest developments and messaging

  • Collaborate with the Creative team to align on brand guidelines, voice, and tone

  • Manage graphic design production for SEO content with vendor

  • Give input on monthly US English topic ideation through keyword research and collaborate on topic strategy

  • Improve content production process through exploration of AI tools for content generation and editing to enhance efficiency

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in SEO content writing and editing, preferably in SaaS, and 2-3 years of management experience

  • Degree in English, writing, journalism, marketing, public relations or advertising

  • Fluent in US English with exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, as well as experience in SEO, writing for LLMs, and AI tools that improve content processes

  • A track record of delivering content that engages intended audiences and converts throughout the sales funnel

  • Experience in story development and ideation, structural editing, and line editing with writers at all levels of experience

  • Excellent writing and research skills and the ability to partner with internal subject-matter experts to produce top notch SEO content

  • Experience with data-driven content and working with writers to cement key data insights

  • Portfolio of digital articles, assets, or blogs written for SEO

  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Adobe) and basic HTML

  • Ability to slightly shift work hours to allow for overlap with PST/PDT time zone

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
