10The Role: Lead Data Specialist.
The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence Cross Reference Services team is part of Data Excellence & Partnership. The team is involved in acquiring and managing company and security identifiers such as ISIN, CUSIP, SEDOL, LEI, D&B DUNs data from 3rd party vendor. It also works on Data Collection, enrichment, correction and standardizing of the data to produce market leading cross reference product namely GICRS; BECRS & on CIQ & CIQ Pro Platform/s.
The Impact: You will be responsible for handling client questions for cross refence products, understanding their requirements and providing them with the best solution. You will be working closely with product management, client support, data management and data operations to provide superior customer experience.

Responsibilities:
- Mentorship: Mentor a team of CCST analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Client Advocacy: Serve as a senior advocate for clients, ensuring their needs and feedback are at the forefront through continuous collaboration with Ops, Data Stewards, Data Management, Product, Client Support etc
- High-Level Research and Problem Solving: Address complex client questions through in-depth research and provide innovative solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of professional, timely, and high-quality support to customer queries.
- Performance Metrics: Set and monitor productivity, timeliness, and quality targets for the team, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Risk Management: Identify and address any areas that could impact business as usual (BAU) operations.
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance processes through root cause analysis (RCA) and implement best practices.
- Knowledge Management: Develop and update knowledge base (KB) articles to reduce client queries and improve self-service options.
- Client Experience Enhancement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve the overall client experience.
- Audit and Compliance: Provide strategic insights and suggestions for procedural and audit improvements.
- Training and Development: Lead training and mentoring programs to develop team members' skills and knowledge.
- Project Management: Oversee ongoing projects and ensure successful user acceptance testing (UAT) by adhering to timelines and maintaining high standards.
- Voice of the Customer: Advocate for clients by reporting key insights and trends to drive improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, and support teams to foster a strong sense of community and information sharing.
What we are looking for:
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in financial services/investment management, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Client Focus: Deep commitment to a client-first focus and mindset.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of company and security identifiers such as LEI, DUNs, ISIN, CUSIP, SEDOL, EIN etc.
- Data Flow: Knowledge of how data flows between ingestion/vendor files to the final product/s
- Domain Knowledge: Expertise in KYC/AML/Third Party Risk Management/Cross Referencing Products.
- Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Factset/Capital IQ & Capital IQ Pro/Bloomberg is highly desirable.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Extensive experience in vendor/client/product interaction.
- Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Proactive Approach: Proactive and professional agility in addressing challenges.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills.
- Team Player: Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to various work environments and situations.
- Multi-Tasking: Ability to manage multiple teams and tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility: Should be up for taking certain calls & collaborate with members/stakeholders across different time zones
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate/postgraduate in finance/MBA.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and SQL (Sequel).
- Business Intelligence Tools: Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau is an added advantage.
- Lean Concepts: Basic knowledge of Lean concepts is desirable.
- Reporting Exposure: Exposure on reporting tools such as PowerBI &/or Tableau will be an added advantage
