Senior Data Architect

Position Overview:

Provide IT Data Architecture to support SECU’s mission and values. Works as a Senior Data Architect for a domain or domains in Application Development and support organization to architect, design, build ,deliver, and manage organization Data structure
along with providing data solutions ,analytics and integrations to support business goals and objectives. Partner with Business Stakeholders and Technical Product Managers to prioritize and roadmap delivery schedule.

Responsibilities:

• 40% - Architect to Operate - Responsible for creating, articulating and maintaining the solution data architecture for enterprise-wide data projects. Provide scalable and innovative data solutions that enable insights and capabilities to drive business strategy. Architect, Design and Deliver data artifacts for the solutions supporting the program/projects to identify areas of opportunity. Leverage industry proven frameworks to deliver
• 20% - Road mapping – Partner with key business lines/stakeholders, IT Enterprise Architects and Product Vendors resources to develop joint application/solution roadmaps.
• 20% - Innovation – Promote and develop an AI (Artificial Intelligence) culture which embraces technology innovation. Stay up to date on current trends and emerging technology solutions. Suggest training opportunities for developers to ensure teams are prepared for the future. Support the modernization of technologies and solutions.
• 10% - Relationships – Partner with leaders across the organization in architecting, designing ,development and delivery of the committed roadmap aligning to the strategy. Influence business and IT effectively challenging the legacy processes and practices.
• 10% - Vendor Product Assessments – Evaluate and prepare score card templates and vendor evaluation matrix . Partner with vendors to plan upgrades and also influence in the product roadmap.

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree in relevant Technical Field of Study

Required Relevant Experience:

5-8 years

Required Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:

• Responsible for crafting and implementing strategy,design the requisite data models , solution architecture , and interfacing with engineering delivery teams.
• Passion for data architecture (Operational and Transactional databases, relational and document , BI/AI, data warehouses ,data lakes) , and data-driven decision making.
• Fluent in data technology solutions, with a preference for experience within large scale financial institutions
• Design data structures and models that facilitate complex analytical queries and integrate real-time data streams, operational data store (ODS) ,enhancing member and transaction analytics (BI/AI) without impacting performance.
• Experience working in Legacy and Modern OnPrem and Cloud solution and data applications with focus on continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence.
• Ability to communicate and influence Business and IT Teams, Management and Executive/Leadership.
• Ability to work with a technology team that uses an agile
• development process and structure to ensure high quality, timely delivery of features and innovative enhancements in conjunction with other teams
• Extensive experience working in large, enterprise level
• programs/projects, preferably with a background in Financial Services

• Familiarity with compliance regulations, IT and Information Security framework.
• Advanced knowledge of REST principles, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and API strategy development.
• Expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery
• (CI/CD) principles and workflows, with experience in implementing these principles in cloud environments.
• Exposure to docker/containerization in any of major Cloud solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Facilitate data design to plan how companies capture and use data to achieve their goals
• Establish data governance and standards and drive data innovation
• Experience in managing all aspects of data architecture that involve the movement of data
• Ability to deploy and manage databases
• Build a Data visualization comprehensive model of the system and identify areas where certain processes can be implemented

Desired Education, Experience, Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:

• Additional 2+ years of Experience in creating secure and stable AI solutions in Financial Industry using leading AI technology frameworks.
• Keep up current and future trends and advancements in AI, Machine Learning (ML) and other emerging technologies .
• Additional 2+ years experience in any of IPasS integration solutions such as (Anypoint MuleSoft platform , IBM Cloud pak for Data or Integration , Boomi or others ) .
