Job Description
 

Director, Integrated Supply Planning is an individual contributor role that supports new product introductions, supply chain resilience including and not limited to scenario analysis and modeling, builds insights and advises on leading trends and best practices in the field of network capacity planning, long range planning (LRP).  Builds strong relationships with Gilead functional leadership (including and not limited to Supply Chain Excellence & Strategy, Commercial Supply Chain, Manufacturing, the rest of PDM and IT) to ensure alignment of the supply continuity and prompt resolution of potential supply risks and disruptions. Has an in-depth working knowledge of supply chain best practices and experience working with a GxP environment. Has strong cross-functional, multi-cultural awareness and communication skills to lead in a fast-paced, global company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/FOCUS AREA:

  • Executes Integrated Supply Planning for assigned new product introduction (NPI) programs, including and not limited to master planning, capacity planning, long-range planning (LRP).

  • Executes scenario planning for assigned NPI programs. Collaborates with functional colleagues throughout the business to identify, develop, and test bespoke solutions to identify opportunities for improving supply chain resilience.

  • Develops agile and ready to adopt models in support of identifying risks, disruptions and challenges that have the potential to impact supply chain. Implements robust monitoring mechanisms to track the performance of recommendations made by the tool/solution. Facilitates discussions with stakeholders aimed to determine the best possible course of action – e.g. service level, cost, etc.

  • Continuously works to adapt and improve the tool’s methodology as required to best suite the disruption scenarios requiring testing.

  • Oversees three-year global demand plans used for mid and long-term manufacturing, supply, procurement, and logistics planning.

  • Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for problem solving obtaining results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years progressive experience in supply chain, preferably within biotech, pharmaceutical industry. 3+ years in data science with a focus on supply chain analytics and optimization. Knowledge of ERP Systems (Oracle, SAP preferred), planning system (Kinaxis Rapid Response), Master Planning, Capacity Planning, LRP and scenario modeling.

  • Demonstration of programming languages (e.g. Python, SQL, C and C++, etc.) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and modeling preferred.

  • Knowledge of supply chain scenario modeling software (e.g., Llamasoft S, Riverlogic etc.,) is preferred.

  • Proficiency in utilizing Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Proven experience with business analytics software for creating interactive and insightful dashboards to visualize complex data sets and communicate analytical findings effectively.

  • Practical knowledge of supply chain concepts, resilience, network optimization, and new product planning.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.

  • Experience working in a global, complex supply chain organization within the biopharma industry.

  • Strong ability to collaborate and build strategic relationships with internal stakeholders – Supply Chain Excellence & Strategy, Commercial Planning, PDM and IT.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.

The salary range for this position is: $210,375.00 - $272,250.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
