As a Senior Data Governance Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the data governance capabilities of our enterprise platform. You will support the VP of Product and collaborate closely with product managers, designers and scrum teams, and clients to translate data governance trends and innovations into intuitive, scalable product improvements. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for a senior professional who understands enterprise data challenges and knows how to turn them into product value.
This is a hybrid role based in our Brussels office. Our hybrid model means you’ll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.
Senior Data Governance Business Analysts at Collibra are responsible for
- Collaborating with Product Managers to review and approve data governance asset model enhancements
- Evaluating and optimizing the out-of-the-box product setup to improve first-time usage and time-to-value
- Designing and deploying workflows that reflect real-world governance use cases
- Analyzing customer and product use cases to build scalable configurations that improve our data governance product experience and get customers faster to value
- Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for product teams on enterprise data governance standards and best practices
- Working with customer-facing teams to capture feedback and identify opportunities for product and process improvement
- Working with the Technical Writer team to improve the documentation on governance asset models, workflows and out-of-the-box configuration
You have
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis, data governance, or enterprise software product roles
- Strong understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks and regulations (e.g., DAMA, BCBS239, GDPR, EU Data and AI Act, etc.)
- Hands-on experience configuring enterprise platforms and designing workflow-based solutions
- Proficiency in documenting and communicating complex data models and governance processes
- Familiarity with data management tools, metadata systems, or governance platforms is a plus
- A track record of working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer teams
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required

Measures of success
- By the end of the first three months, you will have developed a strong understanding of the data governance platform and its key enterprise use cases. You will have built solid working relationships with product managers, designers, architects, and customer-facing teams. Additionally, you will have taken ownership of the review processes for the asset model as well as the out-of-the-box content and configuration.
- Within six months, you will have delivered multiple impactful workflow, content and configuration enhancements that improve both time-to-value and user experience. You will have led the design and documentation of new governance asset models aligned with strategic product use cases and established yourself as the go-to expert for product configuration best practices and governance patterns.
- At the nine-month mark, you will have influenced the product roadmap by validating governance features and scalable use case support. You will have established a governance framework for the continuous improvement of out-of-the-box experiences and empowered both internal and external stakeholders through comprehensive documentation, reusable templates, and enablement sessions.
