The Data Ingest team, within the Core Technologies department, is a group ofexperienced Data Engineers responsible for developing and maintaining the company’sprimary real-time data ingestion and processing pipeline. The team is looking for a SeniorData Engineer to contribute to the ongoing evolution of the pipeline, addressingincreasing data volumes and expanding functional requirements. Success in this rolemeans helping to ensure the pipeline remains scalable, reliable, and efficient as itcontinues to support critical data flows across the organization.

What you'll do
- Design efficient services to collect, process, and store petabytes of data, ensuring high scalability and performance
- Challenge the status quo by redesigning and unifying multiple inherited data pipelines, driving the transition to a streamlined, harmonized data architecture
- Lead large-scale projects that involve complex systems and cutting-edge technologies, driving impactful changes across the organization
- Develop innovative data formats and exchange mechanisms that optimize functionality while minimizing costs and maximizing performance
- Share knowledge and increase the team’s expertise by introducing new ideas and mentoring fellow engineers
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of the primary data pipeline, addressing growing data volumes and functional requirements
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with the organization’s strategic goals
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working in dynamic, complex systems with multiple integrations and the ability to navigate complexity
- Strong experience with streaming data pipelines, particularly using KafkaHands-on experience tackling large-scale data challenges, focusing on scalability, low-latency processing, and fault-tolerant system design
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS and Azure, with a comfort in writing infrastructure as code
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to thrive in a flat team structure, actively contributing to solving technical challenges alongside peers
- Proactive, full of ideas, with a critical yet constructive attitude and a positive approach to bringing thoughtful input
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Go (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of Kotlin, TypeScript or Scala (appreciated)
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience using Kafka
