Software Engineer In Test Intern, Data Quality (Remote)

American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Software Engineer in Test Intern (Data Quality) to join our Consumer Technology – QA department. This position will gain hands-on experience maintaining and developing software test automation tools using the latest Microsoft technologies.
Hourly Salary Range
American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $19.46 to $25.00 Hourly Wage Range.
Remote Worker Considerations:
Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home (WFH) in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 10 Mbps upload speed).
Responsibilities
- Contributes to enterprise level testing of web applications.
- Writing test cases, test procedures against implemented tools and projects.
- Running and maintaining test automation tools.
- Develop test automation scripts and how-to documents.
- The depth and breadth of the projects will depend on the intern’s experience and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Course work in computer science, data science or related technical field.
- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT or computer or technical related field. High school diploma required.
- Technical experience from previous jobs preferred.
- Academic or commercial exposure to software quality assurance, relational databases, ETL design patterns and configurations, multi-dimensional objects (cubes) and/or column store structures, data analytics.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in an academic, hobbyist, or commercial environment.
- Experience working with Web Services, APIs, databases, reporting tools.
- Responsible, team-oriented, self-starter.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Familiarity of data visualization practices and methods.
- Familiarity in the data domain, able to work with multiple platforms.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
