Position Summary

The Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the data analysis process by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to assist in decision-making. This entry-level position involves working with various data tools and collaborating with senior analysts to ensure the accuracy and quality of data reporting.


Key Responsibilities of the Position

  • Gather data from various internal and external sources, ensuring data is relevant, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Clean and prepare raw data by identifying inconsistencies, missing values, and outliers, and applying basic data cleaning techniques to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, presenting data in a clear and accessible format for stakeholders.
  • Perform basic data analysis, such as calculating averages, trends, and summaries, to support higher-level analysis performed by senior analysts or managers.
  • Ensure the data is accurate and reliable by validating data quality through basic checks and testing.
  • Maintaining EDR’s and Enterprise System Documentation
  • Assist in & participate in Business Process and Data Flow analysis work. Author documentation where assigned
  • Build, design, deploy reports from the Data Lake and internal systems
  • Assist with the Data Lake build
  • Assist with SIC Support 
  • Act as an organizational champion for training AI models when we bring it in-house
  • Participate in and support SOC2 compliance activities as assigned
  • Maintain and update data dictionaries, ensuring proper documentation of data sources, structures, and workflows.
  • Work      closely with senior data analysts and other departments to ensure data needs are met, including providing support with data extraction and reporting tasks.
  • Use basic data tools such as Excel, SQL, and/or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to organize, clean, and analyze data.
  • Create basic charts, graphs, and visualizations to help communicate key findings and trends.
  • Perform ad-hoc data tasks and other duties as requested by the team or supervisor.

Requirements

 Qualifications of the Position 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic understanding of data analysis principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and basic reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Ability to communicate findings and insights clearly in both written and visual formats.
  • Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis methods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with databases and SQL queries.
  • 1-2 years of experience working as a Data Analyst
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R for basic data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
