The impact you will have in this role:

The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information solutions through activities that include development of essential business applications, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance. The intern in Quantitative Financial Analyst part of Risk Management Division will be provided with a platform to apply their academic learning in real-world scenarios across various cutting-edge domains to support our quantitative risk models that focus on assessing and mitigating financial risks. The intern will also participate in collection and analysis of model change requirements, create technical specifications, build and test model code, assist in procedural documentation for model, can make contributions within their business areas, and learn from experts currently working within the field.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Grasp the behavior of existing quantitative models, perform scenario analyses, and develop prototypes for new scenarios.
  • Generate performance metrics and analytics to validate model behavior.
  • Establish performance and monitoring controls to aid in model evaluation.
  • Collaborate across business units to conduct model testing.
  • NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should preferably be working towards a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields and graduating no later than May 2026: Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, MIS, Business & Technology Management, or any other equivalent specialization.
  • Candidates should have curiosity about and basic understanding of financial domain, quantitative modelling, programming languages and underlying infrastructure platforms.
  • Candidates must have minimum of a 3.2 GPA or equivalent grade to be considered

  • Must demonstrate superior analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong statistical and mathematical skills
  • Basic understanding of capital markets and financial risk domain
  • Strong interest in the financial services industry, with previous internship experience a plus
  • Good written & oral communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Ability to grasp new concepts
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient computer and technical skills (Particularly with Python, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Current college/university student
