Revenue Cycle Data Analyst, Revenue Cycle Systems

Job Summary :The Revenue Cycle Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the enhancement and maintenance of properly functioning early, mid, and late revenue cycle processes for CarolinaEast Health System. This position serves as the key liaison and subject matter expert on all aspects of the revenue cycle.  This position will be directly aligned and overseen by the Vice President Revenue Cycle and will serve as the key subject matter expert regarding billing compliance, variance analysis team oversight, regulatory or coding changes that may affect risk to revenue and monitor metrics with the intent of minimizing revenue leakage.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university in business, healthcare or a closely related field. 
• A master’s degree in a business related field is preferred. In lieu of such degrees, 10 years of hospital Revenue Cycle/Revenue Integrity experience is preferred. 
• 5-7 years experience supporting Revenue Cycle/Revenue Integrity. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong knowledge of current healthcare trends, policies, regulations and third party payers. 
• Knowledge and understanding of end to end hospital revenue cycle operations. 
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Windows Operating system, Internet. Experience in EPIC preferred. 
• Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Acrobat. 
• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), Visual Basic (VBA) and HTML as well as a demonstrated ability to learn query languages and programming. 
• Works well in environment with firm deadlines; results oriented. 
• Able to communicate professionally via Internet and virtual communication tools
