How will I help?
The Fraud Analyst’s role is to analyse information related to fraud and implement detection strategies which mitigate risk and prevent financial loss, whilst ensuring there is minimal impacts to customer experience, product profitability and brand reputation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Analysis and interrogation of data to support fraud detection and uncover fraudulent activities
- Identifying emerging fraud trends and detecting accounts at risk
- Make continual improvements to detection system rules
- Provide insights into trends and anomalies to aid prevention
- Maintain internal reporting platforms to assist with analysis
- Become an expert in product systems and processes

What do I need?
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science etc
- Technical skills in some of SQL, SAS, R or similar languages are essential with proven experience in using these to interrogate and manipulate large data sets
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with and influence non-technical stakeholders
- Preferred candidates will have experience with strategic games like chess, poker, or competitive board games, as these skills align well with the analytical and strategic thinking required for fraud detection.
- High attention to detail and focus
- Experience in working in a Fraud or Risk Analytics environment within financial services would be highly advantageous
