As a Conversion Developer the individual will develop and deploy custom software solutions to automate participant level transformation done at time of implementation.  Developer will utilize experience with recordkeeping platform to develop rule-based file transformation workflows. Contributes to large scope projects as a technical partner.     

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in design, build, deploy, coordinate and troubleshoot custom software solutions in response to business needs.

• Build and deploy application integration between Empower systems.

• As necessary, participate in troubleshooting integration with outside partners/vendors in support of business needs

• Adheres to team established SLA as part of debug performance tracking.

• Respond to and resolve custom software issues as reported by the business teams.  Escalate to more experienced Developers as warranted.

• Confer with software vendors in the event operational issues require a change from the vendor.

• Provide support and guidance directly to end users.

• Performs system and application testing, ensuring delivery meets business needs.

• Prepares appropriate documentation from which systems and solutions are supported and maintained.

• Maintains reporting for process or system issues and other "on demand" requests. 

• Participates in the prioritization of backlog requests.

• Understands participant level data in support of operational initiatives.

• Capable of running database queries utilizing basic understanding of participant level data. 

• Be innovative and proactive in identifying and developing process improvements around software solutions.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

REGISTRATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSING REQUIRED

• Submission of fingerprints to FINRA.

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1 year relevant recordkeeping work experience.

• 1+ year utilizing SQL, ORACLE, SQL Developer on a consistent basis.

• 1+ year experience with ETL software (Alteryx, Tableau, Python)

• 3+ years utilizing the following Microsoft products: Excel, Outlook and InfoPath

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Professional office environment and regular use of general office equipment such as computers and phones.

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to type, reach with hands and arms, sit for long periods of time, read and write, listen, verbally communicate, respond to questions, collect/track data, problem solve, concentrate, follow direction.  Many duties will be done while sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
