Data Scientist

In this position you will…

…be using practices, tools, and technologies of data science to analyse and communicate insightful business information from internal and external data. You will also design algorithms for bolttech AI-driven products. You will work in bolttech Lead Data Scientist´s team, very closely to Product Managers, Developers and Business Teams to enable data-driven products. Last but not least, you will be a key person to infuse a data-driven culture at bolttech.

You will be responsible for…

• Deriving insights from data using descriptive statistics, predictive analytics, and machine learning methods
• Building models, with structured and unstructured data, for new and innovative products
• Designing experiments, particularly A/B tests, to support data-driven business decisions
• Working directly with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders
• Producing and presenting in-depth analytics reports
• Building dashboards and visualisations to communicate real-time insights across the company
• Working with non-technical users and developing our data maturity

You will require the following qualifications and skills                                                                                                               

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position
• Degree in mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or similar required. Master’s Degree is desired
• Proven experience to handle an end-to-end data science project starting from problem understanding, data cleaning and analysis, modelling, testing and (ideally) deployment
• Advanced knowledge of Python, SQL and Excel. R and JavaScript knowledge are nice to have
• Proficient with typical data science packages: NumPy, pandas, matplotlib/seaborn, scikit-learn, SciPy, statsmodels, and PyTorch/TensorFlow
• Knowledge of AWS and/or Google Cloud, in particular their ML tools, is desired
• Proven Experience in software engineering, especially microservice design, and MLOps are a big plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with building and delivering quality presentations in front of technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
