Equipment Data Engineer
Are you confident navigating complex data systems to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and usability of technical equipment information? Are you comfortable collaborating across diverse teams to align data strategies and solve cross-functional data challenges? Are you passionate about using data to support safe, efficient operations and long-term asset reliability in a high-performing environment?
If that sounds like you, then we have a fantastic opportunity to join the Nuclear Island team as an Equipment Data Engineer at Hinkley Point C!
The Opportunity
As the Equipment Data Engineer, you’ll take a pivotal role in shaping how equipment data and information is managed across the Pre-Operations team at Hinkley Point C. Acting as the go-to expert and central point of contact for the wider HPC project, you’ll ensure data flows seamlessly and accurately to support project milestones and long-term operational success. With a firm understanding of Pre-Ops processes and their data requirements, you’ll bridge gaps between technical teams and project functions, keeping everything aligned with the core goals of safety, quality, time, and cost.
In this role, you’ll work closely with CommOps, MEH, Plant Integration, and IT to define and refine the operational equipment data strategy. From shaping guidance documents to maintaining operational data dictionaries, you’ll make sure our information is structured, reliable, and ready to support commissioning and beyond. You’ll also lead efforts to identify and close data-related gaps, driving collaboration between teams to ensure clear, aligned outcomes. This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of data-driven decision-making in one of the most complex infrastructure projects in the world.
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a salary of £54,280 and a market leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.
We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.
