Reporting to Director, Credit Risk:

As a Senior Manager, Credit Scoring, you will assume a key lead role responsible for development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of credit scorecards and predictive models. With a results-oriented focus, you will lead a high performing team and leverage cutting-edge techniques to build powerful credit risk models that will unlock innovative credit risk strategies and drive profitable growth for the Bank.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a team of credit risk professionals responsible for developing and maintaining scorecards for various stages of the customer lifecycle (acquisition, account management, collections)

  • Oversee the end-to-end model development lifecycle, from data processing and feature engineering to model validation and implementation

  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques such as logistic regression, decision trees, and machine learning algorithms to build robust predictive models

  • Cultivate a high-performing team by providing coaching and mentorship, fostering collaboration and innovation, and promoting technical excellence

  • Continuously improve risk assessment by enhancing existing models and exploring new techniques

  • Manage and enhance model monitoring framework to ensure model accuracy and identify areas of opportunity while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Foster relationships with internal and external partners to ensure alignment on key objectives of models and implementation strategies

  • Communicate complex modeling concepts and results to a wide range of audiences

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years of experience in credit risk management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing scorecards within the financial services industry (credit card experience preferred)

  • Post-Secondary education in Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field

  • Expert knowledge of statistical modeling techniques, including logistic regression, decision trees, and machine learning algorithms

  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, SAS. Experience with GCP data services (Airflow, BigQuery) is an asset

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, mentor, and motivate a team of analytical professionals

  • Ability to distill and communicate complex analytic recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, both orally and in written presentations
