SEO Manager
We are scaling our Marketing team in line with our business, which is focused on growing a compelling consumer brand and proposition and bringing that to market across Europe. We need someone who will lead our SEO strategy to support these ambitious growth plans.

Reporting to the Head of Growth & CRM, you will play a vital role in setting the agenda for technical SEO excellence, on site optimisation, link building,  and content strategy both B2C and B2B. You will work closely with tech, product, brand and growth marketing to have a truly transformational impact on our organic growth. We will operate in 15 markets  so you will ultimately be the authority and leader on our keyword strategy across numerous languages.

You will work cross functionally to ensure we have a tech stack, content plan, strategy and reporting set up we can all be proud of. All the while you will be a key part in a growing category, cementing our status as the brand synonymous with it, and (reassert company mission here if you’d like)

Your Responsibilities:

  • On-site optimisation: this will be the key priority for driving future growth, enhancing the authority and relevancy of our website; with a focus on encouraging discovery and cross purchase.
  • Technical Audits: Work closely with the teams to ensure every release is fully SEO optimised, and contribute UAT for all tickets and releases from an SEO point of view.
  • Audit our SEO tech stack, picking the tools you need for full visibility over performance and growth over time
  • Reporting: You will be monitoring the important SEO metrics that allow us to gauge a true picture of our visibility across brand and generics, whilst also regularly assessing website performance.
  • Future proofing: as an SEO expert you will ensure our strategy is best in class and always working on the latest recommendations. You will lead and set the agenda for evolving the strong base we have done on keyword and technical research and take it even further
  • Work closely with content, social and PR leads to identifying opportunities to build external links.
  • Take and update keyword research and use that to brief new informational content
  • Search Trend Analysis: Support business strategy by sharing valuable insights gained from keyword research and Google trends – you influence all aspects of the company from product naming, assortment, and launch timings to marketing opportunities and future trends.
  • Competitor Analysis: Execute tests and understand search strategies of direct and organic competitors.
  • Business Management: Educate key partners on the importance of SEO and ensuring SEO processes are aligned with marketing efforts.

About You

  •  5+ years SEO experience with a previous role in marketplace, booking, multi-category or multi branch/location business (ideally all four)
  • Highly numerate, with proven ability to reconcile SEO metrics with commercial ones
  • Hands on experience with industry standards SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, etc. Proven experience in scoping and building out such a tech stack also desirable
  • A working knowledge of how to incorporate AI content generation with human prompts and editorial
  • Outcome Driven, able to measure and understand the impact of your work on key business metrics such as booking volume and organic conversion rates
  • Experience with multi-language and programmatic SEO in terms of strategy, keyword research and technical structure necessary
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ranking signals for the most important search engines.
  • Experience managing and executing modern white-hat link-building campaigns.
  • Great knowledge around important SEO verticals and rich results: news, video, GMB, etc. Reserve with Google, in particular, is a significant part of our acquisition strategy, so familiarity with the mechanics of it is a bonus
  • Strong overall understanding of how content impacts SEO efforts and how to optimise for it.
  • The ability to multitask organising, prioritising and executing simultaneous projects, and thriving under pressure. 
  • Experience in App stores ranking (Apple & Android) is not required, but appreciated.
