AI Health Data Principal Lead

Purpose of role

We are looking for an Ai Health Data Principal Lead who can take ownership of the AI agenda for Blackmores and help shape and create the future. This Senior Leader will run the operations of the AI Lab environment, leveraging their experience in the healthcare industry. They will manage a small but dynamic team of data specialist and with a strong ability to engage and bring senior executive leaders on the journey. Final they must be able to take ideas and turn them into commercial Minimum Viable Products that eventually scale for business impact

Responsibilities include:

• Own the Ai competitive Product Strategy for the Organisation
  -dentify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet needs, ensuring the use of appropriate technologies that align with Blackmores' Ai Lab strategic priorities and KPIs. Facilitate decision-making and arbitration on trade-offs, create a shared vision, and build consensus on the timing of solution introductions and withdrawals. Manage the launch of solutions to maximize their positive impact on the organization.

Ability to lead other but also be hands on with Ai technology

• This Senior leader must be able to create and direct a small but dynamic team of data specialist and engineers but also have a strong knowledge, and experience with, advanced modelling techniques in Ai such as Generative Ai, Machine Learning and NLP techniques.
• Must have the ability to lead but also to build models themselves within Ai cloud environments such as Google, AWS or Microsoft. 
• Must have recent experience in build generative ai based products.

Manage operation and delivery of Ai Products

• Ownership of the Ai products through the lifecycle (Ideation, Proof of Concept, and through to Minimum Viable Product). 
• Ability to execute and run ML ops.
• Strong understanding of technical documentation requirements to hand off products for Production with core IT team.

Budget Management

• Collaborate with management to develop annual technology budgets for respective business areas, while also leading the development of solution concepts and business cases for new investments.

A strong ambition to make a difference to Consumers Health and how Ai and data can do that.

• - Ability to leverage AI for diagnostics in health or in leveraging for better health outcomes.

Strong Health Care Industry leadership 

• Leveraging Ai for Medical Research and ensure robust data techniques.
• Ability to navigate healthcare industry regulations and requirements
• - Appreciation of Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP) 
• Architectural Governance
  - Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
• Compliance, Regulations, Policies and Procedures, Guidelines and Legislation
  Responsible for ensuring Blackmores complies with all regulatory; internal policies and procedures; guidelines and legislation associated with the capture, storage and use of data.
• Identify, develop, document, action, and monitor compliance risks and controls to mitigate future compliance failures. Promote a culture of compliance management and control, ensuring that compliance requirements, capabilities, performance, and contractual obligations are integrated into contracts with external customers, suppliers, and other third parties.

Qualifications and Skills

• Advanced degree in Data Science
• Requires advance level of knowledge and understanding of IT delivery practices, solution design, Data Product lifecycle planning and management
• Published Author in medical data science journals 
• Minimum 5 and ideally 7 years+ in Data Science and Ai roles with recent experience in senior Ai lead roles building out generative Ai models in health-related fields
• Experience in Ai Lab / Centre of Excellence environment
