Budget Data Analyst - Construction Growth

The Budget Data Analyst of Construction Growth main responsibilities include creating, reviewing, and managing capital budgets, preparing financial plans, forecasts, and reports, and tracking costs to support project budgeting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will analyze project costs, forecast budgets, and provide insights to improve financial planning, with a strong understanding of the construction industry budgeting preferred.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Track, update and manage sales opportunities and ensure project scope compliance.
• Ensure adherence of assigned Budget Requests within Sales Force.
• Track, update and manage change orders as required by assigned Budget Requests.
• Work collaboratively with Sales department.
• Manage budget requests consistent with unique market and regional trends.
• Collaborate with program and project managers in developing and finalizing departmental budgets.
• Consolidate all departmental requirements and review funding requests for merit.
• Work closely with department managers and assist with analyzing proposed budgets and find alternatives to unsatisfactory project results.
• Determine inside and outside plant infrastructure costs using site plans, construction drawings, internal and external programs.
• Demonstrate best use and practical application among all internal service delivery platforms.
• Manage efficiencies by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements.
• Determine financial status by comparing and analyzing projects and forecasts with actual results.
• Conduct cost, benefit and other analyses as required.
• Create forecasts for future budget needs.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, data science or business analytics.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in budgeting, financial analysis, or similar roles, ideally within construction or a related industry.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and present visual representations, including photographs
• Expert-level computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Strong Presentation Skills, including public speaking in English
• Industry-related experience preferred.
