Tech Lead - Data Ops (f/m/d)

As a Tech Lead - Data Ops (f/m/d), you will ensure the efficient operation of our data infrastructure and implementing best practices for data management, security and governance. You’ll own the enterprise data ops strategy, ensuring scalability, quality, and compliance across domains, while driving platform innovation and optimizing data orchestration solutions.

• Define data platform architecture and set infrastructure standards.

• Drive platform innovation and make technology decisions in alignment with other tech leads and data leadership.

• Own the data governance framework for Data Ops and ensure compliance.

• Oversee the data lake and ensure its usability across the organization.

• Own the orchestration of data ingestion and related processes.

• Monitor model performance and health, making necessary adjustments to optimize results.

• Lead the Community of Practice / Guild, mentoring and guiding team members.

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of data and ML workflows.

• Support Program Managers to prioritize tasks for building new and maintaining existing capabilities.

• Define and enforce standards for ETL, data storage, and other data platform best practices.

• Report on quality and standards gaps to the Data Leadership.

• Guide and own tool selection and maintain methodological consistency.

• 5+ years of experience in data operations, infrastructure management, DevOps, ML or data platform architecture.

• Strong experience with Data Lake technologies, Kafka, Athena, Matomo, Redash, Airflow, and IaC (e.g., Terraform).

• Proficiency with tools such as Apache NiFi, Talend, MLflow, Kubeflow, TensorFlow Extended (TFX), and Databricks.

• Expertise in data governance and data quality management.

• Proven ability to drive technical innovation and make critical platform decisions.

• Strong communication skills and experience in mentoring.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive data strategy forward.
