We are looking for a Lead Data Architect with strong Snowflake expertise to drive the design and implementation of our modern data platform. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on creating scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions while guiding a team of architects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and design of our enterprise data platform, with Snowflake at the core.
  
  
• Lead the development of scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and data models to support analytics, reporting, and data science needs.
  
  
• Collaborate with engineering, BI, and business teams to define data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

• Lead and establish data governance, cataloging, and lineage practices
  
  
• Establish data modeling standards (e.g., dimensional, data vault), data cataloging practices, and documentation.
  
  
• Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and cost usage through advanced configurations and monitoring.
  
  
• Drive data quality, governance, and security policies including access controls, encryption, and compliance.
  
  
• Mentor and lead a team of data architects, setting technical direction and reviewing code/designs.
  
  
• Evaluate and integrate best-in-class tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Looker, Tableau) into the stack.
  
  

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture or engineering, with 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake expertise.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms, especially AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM) or Azure/GCP equivalents.
  
  
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and Python or other scripting languages.
  
  
• Experience with modern ELT pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, NiFi).
  
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
  
  
• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
  
  
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Advanced Architect).
  
  
• Experience with real-time data pipelines and streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis).
  
  
• Knowledge of BI tools like Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
  
  
• Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) is a plus.
