Responsibilities

• Expand and manage server infrastructure
• Research and testing of new solutions (mainly open-source)
• Monitoring of production system operation
• Automation of routine operations
• Supporting developers teams
• Taking care of system security, scalability, high availability
• Managing documentation
• Creating and developing checks for the monitoring system (mainly Python and Bash)
• Responding to alarms in monitoring - problems solving, basic diagnostics, escalation
• Maintenance and/or development of the following systems and solutions:
• Backup
• Orchestration
• Monitoring
• DNS
• Kubernetes
• Databases: Aerospike, PostgreSQL, ArangoDB, InfluxDB
• Integration of selected components into a whole (code changes, integration, etc.)

Key selling points

• 4 data centers (EU, APAC, US East i US West)
• You will be managing infrastructure that processes 20 million of HTTP requests per second - Thousands of servers
• Open Compute Project (OCP) hardware

Must-have skills & competencies

• Git
• Docker
• Understanding of Linux networking innerworkings: iptables, bridging, bonding, network namespaces, VPNs etc.
• Understanding of Linux boot process and disks encryption tools
• Diagnose hardware and processes via linux console
• Easily write simple scripts (in one of the: Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, Go)
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and skills
• Languages: Polish, English
• Knowledge of English at a level that allows the creation and understanding of technical documentation and communication with remote hands in datacenters
