Senior Data Scientist

Job Title

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Data Scientist, preferably with business knowledge in the travel industry. Experience in customer analytics and digital marketing is also valuable. The ideal candidate should be fearless in tackling diverse and challenging topics and ready to work on exciting projects with access to a cutting-edge technology stack.

Key Responsabilities:

• Collect and manage large data sets to perform complex data analysis;
• Build ETL pipelines;
• Transform data into insights to identify and quantify business opportunities;
• Solve business problems by employing machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical learning and pattern recognition;
• Work with SQL and Python to manage, analyze, and transform large datasets, supporting AI-driven decision-making;
• Design and implement advanced prompt engineering techniques to improve the interaction between AI models and end-users;
• Actively participate in a community of practice for data scientists and share knowledge.

About the Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree, Master 2, PhD, in statistics, applied mathematics, or a related STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) discipline;
• Strong knowledge for dealing with big datasets in Databricks and Azure is a must. Expertise in other cloud providers is also valuable;
• Strong experience with ETL data pipeline with Python and PySpark;
• Strong understanding of machine learning and AI techniques;
• Knowledge of Bayesian techniques, deep learning, and reinforcement learning models is highly valuable;
• Knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, agents, prompt engineering, etc;
• High proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Basic knowledge of MLOps in Azure and Databricks, especially for building deployable ML solutions;
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI deployment at scale;
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;
• Experience with data modeling and data visualization concepts and tools;
• Good communication skills and team spirit;
• Experience working in agile environments;
• Proven ability to work independently and be accountable for project outcomes;
