The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a Cloud Platform Development Specialist Advanced, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Building state-of-the-art cloud platform infrastructure automation to support the delivery of Software as a Service (SaaS) customer offerings across the healthcare industry on a global scale.

  • Providing technology leadership for all phases of platform delivery to an agile Cloud Engineering team.

  • Partnering with cloud platform consumers to optimize performance, security, and cost efficiency.

  • Driving continuous improvement in platform design, processes, and standards.

  • Responding to escalated technical issues to produce successful outcomes.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 10 years of hands-on development of cloud automation solutions for AWS and at least one additional cloud platform (e.g. GCS, Azure, etc.)

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • 10 years of automating networking, compute, and security infrastructure across the entire development lifecycle via CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code

  • 10 years of building asynchronous processing solutions using serverless technologies (e.g. AWS Lambda, StepFunctions, EventBridge)

  • 10 years of frontend UI development using React and/or Angular

  • 10 years of programming in Python and Go

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in Software or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution

  • AWS Solutions Architect, Developer or DevOps Professional Level Certification.

  • Expert level experience with multiple programming and scripting languages (Python preferred)

  • Experience leading and mentoring less experienced technical team members in the delivery of end-to-end solutions.

  • Experience using core AWS services such as IAM, EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, Organizations etc. on a day-to-day basis.

  • Experience providing solutions for AWS security features, IAM (Identity and Access Management), least privilege, and security best practices.

  • Experience deploying virtual network infrastructure in cloud environments (VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, etc.)

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as ECS, Kubernetes.

  • Experience building, maintaining, and leveraging code repositories and CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation and stateful infrastructure management.

  • Experience doing Test Driven Development with demonstrated quality improvements via test automation.

  • Skills include excellent technical and non-technical communication skills, time management skills, interpersonal/team skills, and the ability to use a variety of information resources, systems, and software tools to produce successful results.

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
